As a Tec 40 CCR, Tec 60 CCR or Tec 100 CCR Diver you qualify to dive on a specific Type T CCR. To dive on a different CCR, you must qualify on that unit by participating in a Tec CCR Qualifier program. During the qualifier program, you’ll focus on the new CCR – assembly, predive checks, disassembly and unique aspects of diving it versus other CCRs you’ve qualified to use. You’ll complete one confined water dive and two open water dives to ensure that you're comfortable with the new CCR. When you complete the program, you earn a new certification card – whatever level(s) you completed – which identifies the new Type T CCR.

PADI TEC CCR QUALIFIER

What scuba gear will you use?

You’ll use standard tec diving equipment appropriate for the local environment, including your exposure suit, mask, fins and weight system. You’ll also need a Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB) and reel, an audible surface signaling device, slate and a compass. I will advise you about the Type T CCR you’ll learn to use and suggest a CCR dive computer with open-circuit bailout capability (if not integrated into the CCR), offboard life support system, and oxygen analyzer along with other beneficial gear.

BOOKING INFO

To secure your booking, a deposit fee 50% of the course price is asked either via bank transfer or PayPal (+5%). Additional bank fees are paid by the student. The rest of the course fee is paid when course starts.

AFTER THE BOOKING

After your booking, you will receive PADI Tec 40 CCR Diver Manual for you to study. You’ll also get a TecRec Type T CCR Predive Checklist. I do all training sessions on the SF2 unit. You can also start studying the manufacturer’s literature.
